Las Vegas 2008 Schedule
"Internet traffic and domains are the prime real estate of the 21st century. This market has matured, and individuals, brands, investors and organizations who do not grasp their importance or value are missing out on numerous levels"
Quote from Steve Forbes at T.R.A.F.F.I.C. EAST 2007
T.R.A.F.F.I.C. WEST 2008 will be held at the largest hotel in the entire world. The Venetian Hotel and Resort in Las Vegas from February 18 - 21, 2008. This will be the 4th annual show at this wonderful property and 10th overall in the T.R.A.F.F.I.C. series.
What started as a small get together of domainers has evolved into the the epicenter of commerce for domain names, web traffic, registrars, PPC companies, search engines, CPA, Affiliate marketing, advertising and investment. The Domain industry's premier event.
As it stands now, TRANSPARENCY among monetizers will be the focus. How to make sure you are getting the percentage you are told you are getting. How to make sure you are getting your fair share. Too much money at stake not to have some oversight.
Why come to TRAFFIC WEST 2008?
There are 2 types of basic traffic. "Social" traffic and "Commercial" traffic. The minute they segregate these 2 groups, those with commercial domains and commercial traffic will watch their earning go way up. When they FIX the current system, you will not believe the difference in your incomes. Imagine what it does what you go from averaging 5 cents or 10 cents a click and move it to 50 cents to $1 and more. Domain owners and even folks like Google for the most part don't understand just how deep and how many levels and layers the inefficiency is. Your assets can only skyrocket when they FIX these things that CAN be fixed once they understand that they pay the SAME for a bag of smoke as they do for traffic containing sales. Transparency is the PATH to unlock the REAL VALUE of our traffic and our assets. If you are panning for gold, learn how to unlock the gold. Educating everyone about the different types of traffic is the first and biggest step.
Transparency = Education = More sales = Higher payouts =Higher Margins
For those asking what is the difference between traffic? If you sell a product it is the difference between closing 1 in 10,000 people that come to your site or closing 1 in 100 or better. Why one type traffic will likely make you RICH, while the other traffic will most likely make you BROKE. Time to pay attention. From Wall Street to Main Street right up to Madison Avenue.....Time to learn!

We thank you for your past attendance and are anxious to see our friends in Las Vegas for another great event. Plus don't forget about our live domain auction. The world's largest live domain auction back again for a 7th time. Don't let a premier domain get away. At TRAFFIC EAST in October 2006 $5.3 million in domain names changed hands in just 4 hours. Then just a few months later nearly $15 million in domains sold at our New York City show.
The schedule will be updated once or more weekly until the show: All times and seminars are tentative. Final schedule to be posted on February 12th. Register early as EVERY show has been sold out weeks before the actual event and there is NO onsite registration. We feed you breakfast, lunch and dinner each full day and have it framed with several cocktail parties. All first class food and drink so come hungry. Break bread with folks you can do business with.
The key to the success of TRAFFIC is bringing the biggest and the best together. The quality of the folks that attend are beyond question. That puts the decision maker right there in the middle of a place where his/her decision making abilities get to be recognized and engaged over and over again. The ability to do years worth of business in just a few days. TRAFFIC has created an atmosphere of growth and terrific deal making potential. TRAFFIC is clearly more than a tradeshow or conference. As an event that is by invitation only, TRAFFIC sets a standard that can not be matched. We know when we ask you to leave the comfort of your homes and your family it better be worth your time and money. That is why TRAFFIC has become such an important part of doing business for those that own domains, buy and sell traffic, have ppc companies, search related companies investors and all the way down to the store on Main Street. TRAFFIC brings the biggest and the best together. It's just that simple. We keep the noise out and the business in.
To sum it all up......TRAFFIC's greatness is in bringing key people together. It is exclusive no doubt. It isn't open to everyone, nor cheap, as in order to create the level of attendees we have created we must decline some "noise" and we must charge more then what a casual domainer would feel comfortable paying. TRAFFIC isn't for the average domainer, it's for real professionals, highest integrity and business ethics - the best of the best,. It's a total TREAT for those serious about domains, traffic and bringing us all to the next level.

8:30PM Keynote Address by Jim McCann
CEO 1-800-FLOWERS.com and FLOWERS.COM
Jim's story is one of the greatest business stories of all time. How one man and his vision, single handedly disrupted one of the world's most famous franchises. An illustration in its' most magnificent form of vision and embracing a new technology when the standard bearer is locked in to an antiquated way of doing things. Jim McCann saw this opportunity and the rest is history. FTD, once the most powerful florist in the world, overpowered up by an upstart. Who better can understand what we do than the very person who kicked off this frenzy to begin with. See why Jim's story can become your story. TRAFFIC has had some great speakers and it's a tough task to follow Steve Forbes. But we believe you will be energized like never before when you hear Jim share the story of a path that is more similar to ours than perhaps anyone living today. We don't want to know the good stuff. We know how it turns out. We want to know the BS and frustration Jim McCann dealt with along the way. The doors shut in his face. The legal hurdles. The fights he had in the telecomm world. Then we want to know how he hurdled all that and made 800-flowers.
10:00PM-2:00AM Official TRAFFICZ party After a long day this is a chance to relax, have fun and continue to do what we do best. NETWORK!! The legendaryT.R.A.F.F.I.C. party is a must! 9:00AM Wireless Cyber bar opens
10:00AM Exhibits open
10:00AM Steve Forbes, Jim McCann, Terry Jones, John Reese, Tom Gardner, Ben Stein. What have we learned from these speakers that have come to TRAFFIC? Why are their words valuable? What is the common thread? Why will Steve Forbes speaking pay dividends forthe industry for years to come? Who else do we want to hear from and meet and expose to our tiny little corner of the world? Dr. Kevin Ham of Reinvent.com, Monte Cahn of Moniker, Ron Jackson of DNJournal.com, Plus Howard and Rick.
11:00AM CyberSquatter, Domainer, Investor, Developer, Risk Taker, etc. What are we? The abuse coming our way is no longer something on the horizon. It is here. Domainers get no respect. They get called names. The tone out on the street towards domainers in general is very bad. How do we as professionals distinguish ourselves from the seedy side where no rules is the only rule? Where there really are cybersquatters. Our panel will talk about our responsibility in all this and how we can join the fight against those that abuse the industry and educate those that will use this abuse to run us all out of business.Plus how domainers can influence ICANN and have them actually abide by their own charter. Mike O'Conner, Bill Sweetman of Tucows.com, David and Michael Castello of Castello Cities Internet Network and Phil Corwin of the ICA, Dan Warner COO Fabulous.com..

12:30 Noon Lunch with Ron Jackson's annual report on sales for 2007 as well as trends for early 2008 compiled by DNJournal.com. Then a .mobi update by Pinky Brand.
2:00PM Are PPC companies earning too much for the service they provide or are they entitled to a bigger cut of the pie? Panel will discuss payouts and why domainers are on the short end of the stick in some minds and overpaid in other minds. The idea of Co-op has been out there for years. With Billions in revenue on the table and with those traffic dollars SOLELY responsible for that ENTIRE income, is it time to look at payouts? The panel that will ROCK the entire space is right here, right now! Dr. Chris Hartnett, Rick Schwartz, Sahar Sarid, Gregg McNair, Divyank Turakhia and other independent domainers and sponsors will take on this windmill.

3:30PM-6:30PM The PREMIUM domain auction. World's largest and only live domain auction takes center stage. We expect several million dollars in high profile domains to change hands. The auction alone is worth the price of admission for any domainer or investor. Sponsored by Moniker.com and refreshments and snacks provided.
